EstEnergy is the retailer for the energy products of the
AcegasAps S.p.A. group established on 28 August 2000 and based in Trieste, now 49% owned by
Ascopiave S.p.A..
EstEnergy has positioned itself as the leading operator in the energy market in North-East Italy, delivering
gas, electricity and energy savings.
Over time our company has developed significant experience and knowledge of the region as well as expertise in the sectors that continue to support our core daily sales and service business.
MILESTONES
The first EstEnergy seed was sown in July 2000, with the establishment of Estgas to sell natural gas to its founders: Acegas (34%), Amga Udine (34%), AMG Gorizia (10%) and Edison Gas (22%)
• In August 2000 EstEnergy was established to supply electricity on the open market
• In October 2001 Aps Trade was established to sell natural gas to the province of Padua
• In December 2003 Acegas Spa and Aps Spa merged
• In October 2006 Estgas underwent a partial non-proportional split into EstEnergy
• In December 2006 the Aps Trade operation was transferred to EstEnergy
• On 1 January 2007 the combined electricity and natural gas reseller to the provinces of Trieste and Padua was established
• In September 2007 Ascopiave bought a 49% share in EstEnergy, and the remainder was purchased on 18 December 2007 by Asco Holding S.p.A., thus creating a gas supplier which with over 610.000 customers and approximately 1,5 billion cubic metres sold to the end user is one of Italy's biggest, as well as being the leading supplier in North-East Italy, opening up the possibility of further major developments.
THE FREE ENERGY MARKET
The Italian gas and electricity market is a free market and all customers may choose their own supplier. Customers have decided to stay with EstEnergy because we understand their needs and satisfy their demands in a transparent manner; we are particularly focussed on continuously improving our service quality and caring for the environment and the community.
